A Toothless Grin

Sissy with her BeAuTIfUL toothless grin!

I don't know who was more excited? CJ or VK??

It was Easter Sunday, CJ had just discovered that her tooth was loose. Well bless her heart she messed with that thing ALL day long until it came out! She was tickled pink!! She finally lost her first tooth!
At first I thought VK would do one of those "Sissy's tooth came out, I want my tooth to come out too," whining fits. But surprisingly she was even more excited that CJ! I was very proud of my baby girl!
CJ finally got to use the little tooth fairy pillow Mrs. Marsena gave her when she was a baby, and that tooth fairy finally got to visit CJ!
My little girl is growing up so fast. We were so excited to see this day come and how memorable it will be that it happened on Easter.
Have a great day and don't forget to hold onto those baby hugs just a little longer today!

God is so good to give me healthy, happy, children.

Tyre Times

I did manage to get this one pic off my BB.

Good Morning everyone! It is gorgeous outside today and I pray that wherever it is you are its just as beautiful!

I am having some issues with my pictures downloading so I don't have any for you today. However, I will give ya'll an update on the happenings in Tyreville, only because I can't stand to get so far behind on my postings when there is so much to share.

This week, in the Tyre house, the girls have gotten their dance recital costumes! They are TOO CUTE!! Some changes have been made to the recital..which is May 29th...and I am going to start praying NOW that everything will workout and I get to see my girls perform. The girls dance instructor, Mrs. Lisa, is having to make some MAJOR decisions as too were and if the girls will be changing in the theater during the performances. So I am going to be stretched really thin during the recital. I assure you I am not the only Momma with this issue but it still stinks that our facilities are drawing us to this conclusion. No matter what though, MY GIRLS ARE GOING TO LOOK FANTASTIC. Its kinda bitter sweet too! The girls have decided they want to try other extra curricular activities. Cory and I have told them only one thing at a time and therefore they have decided to try something new. CJ wants to do horseback riding lessons and well VK wants to do everything of course!! OK, didn't mean to get into ALL of that. But we are very excited for the recital and their costumes....they do love it and I know I'll miss this!

Whitman is doing really good. We were afraid there for awhile that he might have to have tubes put in his ears but we prayed that fluid away and guess what...looking good and NO fluid!! So no tubes! He does, however, have some stomach teeth coming in and they are making him IrRitAbLe!!!! Lord willing this will pass SOON! On a good note, he is talking more and more and I can definitely see some development changes going on! He is getting TOO big TOO fast! Right now he is in LOVE with any tractor and LOVES to go with his Daddy anywhere! I love to see them go off together...its too cute!

Cory, the love of my life, has been very busy getting ALL his harvest operating stuff together. Hay season has started a little but will really get into full swing next month. He took two big trips in the last few weeks. He went to DC with Farm Bureau and got to visit with some our legislators on behalf of the GA farmer. And then he went to Indiana to look at some equipment for the business. So he has been my "Travelin' Man"...(I love that song by Alan Jackson). We also got our new tractor that we won (for a year) through the GA Young Farmer of the Year Award. I have pics that I will show as soon as I can.

As for me, I have recently been ATTEMPTING this Couch to 5k program and so far so good. Like I said I'm attempting so lets all pray it works...haha! Been looking at house options its kinda become an obsession and I need to just let the Lord work it out. I have a hard time releasing control over that (like I have any control anyways)! Our Wednesday night TeamKids is coming to an end and I have really enjoyed my class. I pray when it starts back up the Lord will use me again in some aspect of its structure. But VBS is around the corner and since I am blessed to direct the week long event I need to focus more of my time and energy on that! My husband surprised me a couple weeks ago with a Blackberry (I've been wanting one since Thanksgiving) and I have been playing with that alot. He was so sweet to get me one....finally..LOL!

So as you can tell we are busy beavers around our house. Never a dull moment, blessed continuously, thankful always!

Hope to get some pictures up soon!

Disney on Ice's 100 Years Part II

Pinocchio and his father set free from the whale

These were Mulan's warriors fighting

CJ was too excited to tell Trey about Mulan. Trey didn't care for it too much until the warriors started fighting!! He told CJ he didn't like all that princess stuff but the fighting...he liked that!

The Dragon from Mulan

VK wanted to see more of the Princess'

Bye, bye, Mickey and Minnie

G-man with her grands after the show

Me and my youngin's after the show. I saw these azaleas when we were going in and I just knew we had to come back out and get pics there. They were beautiful!

What a great trip we had! Thanks G-ma for a great time! Now the girls are biting at the bit to go on a Disney cruise! Who knows?!?! Disney is so much fun and well there only gonna enjoy this character type stuff for a little while. Might as well enjoy it while we can! If you ever get the opportunity to go to one of their ice shows..go..they are really good!

Disney on Ice's 100 Years - Part I

The one thing that we had to look forward too on our Spring Break was Disney on Ice! After being sick nearly all week long, we were very thankful for the trip. G-Ma always takes her grands and DILs to the shows when they come around and this show was no exception.
The girls and I have been to just about all of Disney's ice shows and I have to say that this one was probably the best. The only thing that would have made it better would have been Cars' participation. We had a great time and I have lots of pics to prove it! So beware....Disney will be featured ALOT in the next posts!

Trying to get Whit to look at the camera was war! There was just too much going on!

My girls, however, love to strike a pose for the camera!

There were LOTS of Genies!! They were fantastic!

All of Nemo's characters looked GREAT!

One of my favorite Disney Princess, Belle, and the Beast looked FANTASTIC! They brought out all the Princess' and their Princes'. My girls loved that part!

Toy Story's soldiers had great technique.

Woody was a HUGE hit with the kids! Whit even got a Woody doll....he loves to take the hat off and on.

All of the Toy Story characters were a huge hit!

And of course some of Disney's most beloved characters were there too!

There are lots and lots more photos of Disney on Ice's 100 Years to come so stayed tuned...

Disney on Ice - Intermission

During intermission we got some awesome pics! I love letting the kids play around and take pictures. They love to take them and it gives them some independence. Besides, we had nothing better else to do. We couldn't possibly go get all the kids a popcorn or cotton candy....they were $12 bucks each. With 5 kids...that adds up FAST!

Spring Break 2010

Fun in the sUN!!

So Spring Break didn't exactly turn out how we had expected....but thats ok!
We were hoping to get to North Carolina with Granny but instead we ALL ended up at home with the stomach virus! Yes, for the whole week! It was like we kept passing it onto the next person.
The later part of the week, the girls were feeling MUCH better but Granny, Whit and I were still suffering. So we got the girls a slip-n-slide, some water guns, and water-balloons to play with.

Vbug getting her slidin' on!

CJ looked like she was tryin' to slide into third base!!

Granny and the Whitman watching our "entertainment" while chillin' on the porch

Yes, she is a mess!

The Easter Bunny Comes to the Tyre's House

After church we always come home to see what the Easter bunny had left them.

Because we get up so early and go to the Sunrise service, this allows the kids to really enjoy what the bunny leaves them.

I just love these baskets/buckets...they were my favorite

The kids really enjoyed their baskets and all the goodies they got!

Easter was filled with fun and family all day long! God is so good to have given us so much...and He continues too!
