Cora Jane's Honors Day 2010

CJ showin' off her medals
I can't believe how fast this year has come and gone! My big girl had her Honor's Day on the last day of school and we were very blessed to be able to attend.
Grades 1st and 2nd sang several songs for us and then the awards presentation began.

Cora Jane did a great job singing all her songs. They are getting so big but are still so sweet!

My CJ receiving her MANY awards!

My nephew, Trey, receiving his many awards!

Daddy and his big girl!

She needed help holding all those awards ;P

Trey and Cora Jane (best cousins) and their awards! We were all so proud!

Caroline and CJ struttin' their stuff!

Mrs. Deen and her 1st Grade class at ACA 2009-2010

Cora Jane had a great year and in the end she received many awards including: Top Math Award, Top Reader Award, A Honor Roll for the whole year, THE PRINCIPAL'S HONOR AWARD, and for a character award - Most Thankful.
Needless to say we are very proud and blessed to have such a talented and sweet little girl!
A week after school got out, we received her report card and her testing scores. Her report card was no surprise to us. BUT her scores were OUT OF THIS WORLD!! She scored perfect scores in almost every subject. If it wasn't a perfect score it was just shy!!! Her Daddy and I are so happy that she is exceeding so well! Thanks be to God for giving us a talented and intelligent little girl! Yee Haw, Cora Jane! Way to go baby girl!!

Vera Kate's Graduation Performance

Vera Kate is a mess with all her expressions. She was cracking us all up!

This song had to be one of absolute favorites! She literally gets into each and every emotion of the song. In the bottom left corner of the video, you will see my adorable nephew, Jesse. He too has those facial expressions that are priceless! LOVE IT!

There are around 25 students, all together, graduating. The top row of students are in the 4 year old PreK and the bottom row is the 3 year old PreK.
They were all so precious!

My doodle bug receiving her diploma!! Time is flying by!

There was so much more singing but I picked out my favorites to share. What a sweet time it was watching our little girl having her first ever performance that was just hers...not something she shared with Sissy. We are all very proud of our Doodlebug! The graduation was a pleasure to watch and we hope you think so too!

Christian Videos | Jentezen Franklin

Last week I shared with you the beautiful song Time in Between by Francesca Battistelli (?). The song really struck my heart and reminded me that my God was there before, was there when it happened, and will be here afterwards.
As I rocked my precious baby boy to sleep tonight, Cory and I watched one of our favorites (whom I've shared with you before), Jentezen Franklin. Cory and I both are amazed at how God is working in our lives and how He is there with us during our time of in between, our rock and a hard place.....OUR HARD PLACE! This sermon was exactly what I needed to hear and I am so thankful for this man of God to bring us His word. At the end of the sermon, Jentezen mentions that he is supposed to preach this message for someone out there....I'M THAT SOMEONE!!!!
God is so faithfull to me. I love Him so much! If you are going through a tough patch, or have already been through one, you have got to watch this video.
I pray it touches your heart as much as it has mine. I just had to share.

Mother's Day

My family

My silly family

My Nana (Oli Mae) and Daddy

For Mother's Day weekend we went to Momma and Daddy's in Florida. We had a great time....as usual! It was great to get to see everyone at church on Sunday and hear my FaVoRIte pastor, RR, preach! I am so proud of my home church for bouncing back the way they have and thriving in a time of crisis! They have really come together as a whole and united with God to build our church back to what it should be!
I love my Momma so much! I am so blessed to have a loving, beautiful, mother who exemplifies the characteristics of a Christian woman. God truly blessed me with the best.
And of course my MIL, Mrs. Gwen. When Cory and I married and he moved me away from my home I didn't know what I would do without my Momma right there. But God is good....is He not!?!? He gave me a fantastic MIL who has taught me to not let the little things ruffle my feathers, and how to cook! One day I pray I can cook half as good as this woman! She is amazing and I am so thankful God placed her in my life.
After lunch we literally laid around all day watching the kids play outside. It was a beautiful day! It was nice not to go anywhere. I got to spend alot of time reflecting over the past seven years if motherhood. I have ALOT of wonderful memories and I can't wait to make even more! God has so graciously given my three beautiful children and one heavenly angel. I pray I never take that precious gift for granted.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.

Francesca Battistelli - Time In Between

This week has been an emotional one for me. Starting with Mother's Day on Sunday. I love being a mother of three beautiful children and one heavenly angel. But because I cannot spend these special moments with ALL of my children my heart aches. It aches for those moments that I'll never have with Lila Rae. Sometimes when I am having a bad moment and one of my babies gives me a hug or a kiss or just a smile, I see her shining through. I miss her so much.

And then yesterday, May 12, 2010, our business's headquarters burned to the ground. For six years we have built businesses there, spent 4th of July's there, and well united as a family. It is sad and I can't get to into right now because its still emotional to talk about. I'll remember something that I had stored up there (like my wedding dress) and I'll get emotional and then have to move on....what else is there to do. I have a God who is seeing us through!

So I just LoVe this chick!! Her music is awesome. I just happened to get her CD last week (God working...He knew I would need her music) and this one sticks out in my mind right now. He is here! God is in the midst of ALL of this! Before, After, and the Time In Between.

Weekend in Florida

This past weekend, my bunch and I went back home to see my parents and family. My Mom's birthday and Mother's Day are always right there together and so it was a weekend of celebrations.

On Saturday, my brother Ned Henry (Uncle Bubba), rented a pontoon boat for us to cruise the river and swim. We had a BALL!! The only problem was that the girls wanted to swim the moment we got on the boat! They did not want to sit and ride they wanted to SWIM!!

Whitman LOVED helping Uncle Bubba drive the boat! If there is a motor on it, Whit wants to control it!!

Swimming in the river! We couldn't find a spot that was shallow enough so we swam with the boat as it floated! Cory and I got our workout trying to swim up-stream holding a kid!!

I just LOVE this picture!

This is the "honeymoon cottage" that Cory and I stayed at our first night as Mr. and Mrs. Cory Tyre.

My wonderful, loving, parents.

Here is captain Uncle Bubba and his helper Whitman

The beautiful Rainbow River/Blue Run that I grew up on.

My boys!

For lunch we ate at The Blue Gator! Oh my, it was so good! Plus its right on the river which was great! After we finished swimming and docked the boat we walked right up to the restaurant. It was so convenient and delicious!

Vk hammin' it up with her lemons!

My sweet hubby sneaking some sugar!

My SIL, Amanda, and brother PJ.....and their addition which will be here in July!!

Granny and her little man

WooooHOOO is he handsome or what!!
I, on the other hand, am looking swollen...yikes!!!

We are so blessed to have a loving family like we do!

Muffins with Mommy

Yesterday Vera Kate's class had Muffins with Mommy, at school, in honor of Mother's Day. Since we were in Florida and couldn't attend, we decided to have our own. We went to one of my favorite places in D-town.....Go-For Donuts!! Yum, yum! I just love their sour cream glazed donuts.....ooohhhh they are so good!
CJ and W went with us and we had a sweet time! I just love my babies and all the fun times we're having!
