Tractor Boy and Glamour Girl's Birthday Party

This past weekend was our Vera Kate and Whitman's birthday party. We had it at And Bounce in Blackshear. The kids had a blast jumping on ALL the bouncy stuff...as you can see from my VK's red face.
This is one of the many pictures I have to share. So until I get them all edited I'm leaving you with this sneak peek of the fun that was had.

Happy Birthday Vera Kate

On this day, five years ago, you brought so much more love into our lives than we ever could have imagined. You are so special to us and we love with all our hearts.

You are a Daddy's girl, but Momma's glamour girl!

You are a beautiful angel sent straight from heaven and into our arms. We are so blessed and thankful that God has given you to us. You are the best Doodlebug there is!
We love you! Happy 5th Birthday V!!
Love,
Daddy, Momma, Sissy, and Whit

Hydrangeas

Our beautiful 50 year old hydrangeas

These flowers are at my in-laws home, the family farm since the 1800's. This year the bush put on more flowers than it has in several years and you can bet I have taken my share to the house! I can't wait until I can transplant some to my new house! But until then I will keep bringing them home in my vases.

This is my besties little girl! She is so beautiful and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get her picture!

Whit and his buddy playing with their kittens in the fort....gotta love summer fun!

VBS Week

The last two weeks have been pretty busy around our house. Last week we had VBS at our cousin's and friend's church, Pine Level. And then this week we had our church, Antioch's VBS.
I was really bad the first week and didn't get ANY pictures whatsoever! I stayed with Whit in his class, which he really needed the socialization, and was pretty much hands on the whole week so I didn't get any pictures. CJ and VK love going to Pine Level's VBS because its SO much FUN!! They get to spend the whole week with their cousins and their besties. What more could a Momma ask for? Well to get to bed before 10:30 every night....that would have been really nice ;P
At the end of the week, the kids performed to the week's music in sign language and song....what a treat for us all! We love ALL our buddies over at Pine Level!!

Then last week, we hosted VBS at our church! Antioch's theme this year fit in perfectly with our church's members. "Saddleridge Ranch" brought lots of awesome crafts, stories, music, and dancin' to our country church! I don't know about the kids, but my favorite time was the two-steppin' to some "Tumbleweed" songs and ridin' the buckin' barrel!
The first picture on this post is of CJ riding the buckin' barrel...TOO much fun!!

Our besties coming to join us at VBS

This is where Whit ended up every night! Aunt Amanda would bounce him to sleep, in the nursery, and then G-ma would rock him on home.

What a whirl-wind it has been around here, but thankfully things are gonna slow down before our BIG party this weekend!! VK and Whit are gonna celebrate their birthdays up right! So here is to another wonderful, but hopefully, slower week at the Tyre house!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Daddy!
I am so blessed to have been given a loving, caring, God-fearing man as a Daddy! He was always there to nurture, support, and love! And he still is. I thank my Heavenly Father, everyday, for the awesome earthly Daddy he so graciously gave me!
I love you Daddy!
I am so blessed to have a husband who exemplifies Christian love! He shows our kids everyday what it means to have a good attitude and love toward each other. He is a wonderful Daddy and I love him very much! Happy Father's Day Babe!

Whitman is TWO!!!

Two years ago, a beautiful, healthy, baby boy came into our lives. We are forever grateful to our gracious Father who gave us another beautiful gift!
When I was pregnant with Lila Rae I said that she was it...no more. God has a plan for our lives and all we can do is trust Him to guide us through. We are so blessed that His plan included our Whitman Allen.
We love you baby boy! More than you could ever imagine! You are the tractor lovin', rough-rompin', little man we always imagined to have! But we NEVER imagined we could LOVE you as much as we do...you are so special to us!
Happy Birthday Whitman!
Love you always,
Momma, Daddy, Sissy, and V

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Tyre Family Photo

The Tyre Family
A couple weeks ago, we all attended our cousin Ywain's wedding. Cory and Phil were both groomsmen and the rest of the family was dressed all spiffy, so we took the opportunity and got a family photo! I have to give Aunt Janice some credit.....she did a pretty good job with the camera!
I thought this was a great picture of everyone.
We're all very happy for Ywain and his new bride! The wedding was beautiful!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Summer Adventure - Neptune Water Park

Last week my good friend Amanda and I took the kids to Neptune Water Park on St. Simon's. We had the best time! My SIL had been last year and loved it so we had to check it out! The park was the perfect size for my kids to have a BLAST!! I must say I had a pretty good time too! Can't wait to get back over there!

Our little buddy, Addie, didn't care too much for the water park but she found her favorite thing in the world.....swings!!

Sissy climbing the HUGE whale

I am so blessed to have great kids, despite our few meltdowns ;), that I can take on awesome adventures like this! Can't wait for the next one...adventure that is NOT meltdown...ha ha!

Randomness in Tyreville

Our hail storm May 2010

The hail was about the size of baseballs. It was a really strong storm that came about the second week in May. The kids and I were home alone, it was gettin' dark, and we were gettin' a little worried. But the storm passed, not before it left a trail of damage though! Lots of blueberry farms were destroyed, Cory's Momma and Daddy's tree fell on top of the kid's playground, trees were down EVERYWHERE, and we were without power for several hours.

But by the Grace of God everyone is alright and everything can be fixed!

My little man exploring around the house! We had baby kittens under the house and he was trying to catch one! So sweet...so summer...gotta love it!

Whitman's Out for the Count

Bless his heart, during the recital, my baby boy conked out!! He was so excited to see his sisters on stage that he wore himself slap out! Thank goodness his Uncle PJ was there to hold him while Momma ran around getting the girls ready for their numbers.
Whit loves his girls so much and loves to watch them dance. He is the best!

Vera Kate's Dance Numbers

Vera Kate performing "Just Getting Started"
this was one of my favorite pics of her

My Diva striking a pose

VK's first performance was her classes' tap number. They were all too cute with their gloves and Flapper girl skirts. Here again, my doodlebug gets into her performance with facials and all!

The end. Gotta love that smile!

This was the half of V's class that performed at the 2pm show.

I LOVE this smile...can't you tell she is having a ball!

This was their "Spoonful of Sugar" number that they performed in ballet. SO SWEET..haha!

This is V and her Granny BEFORE the show!! I had to beg her to wake up....and when she did she was ready to get on stage! Too precious!

Vera Kate did a great job on both of her dances! Her Daddy, myself, grandparents, aunts and uncles....ALL of us were super proud of our little dancer. She danced her little heart out and was just beautiful while doing it! She loves to dance. In fact, she makes up dances all the time and then performs them for the family....too cute! Watch out Miss Lisa, you've got a future student teacher on your hands!!

God is so good to give me healthy, capable, children who LOVE to entertain!
