Callaway Gardens 2011
We were very blessed to visit Callaway Gardens last month. What a beautiful place! One afternoon we were having a cookout with our Young Farmer group, having a BLAST, and a rainstorm came up and RuInEd our good time.
It may have ruined the cookout but not the Tyre family’s evening. We rode around and saw beautiful places that were off the beaten path. It stopped raining so we decided to get on out of the car and explore.
We found a beautiful peek that had gorgeous gardens and scenery. Off on our adventure we went. With Daddy leading the way. I love taking non-posed pictures. And I couldn’t pass this one up. My babies following their Daddy where ever he may go. The song from Disney’s Peter Pan comes to mind. “We’re following the leader, the leader, the leader. We’re following the leader where ever he may go.” I love it!!
"For I have chosen him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice; in order that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him." Genesis 18:19

Following the Leader

it’s go time!
The last few weeks our area has been very fortunate and blessed to have been getting so much rain. We are very thankful for the showers of blessings upon our hay fields. Now because the showers have subsided that means……it’s go time!!
Just like most farmer’s productions, when it’s time to harvest…it’s time to harvest….go time takes precedence over everything. It has too…it’s our way of life. Thankfully we have had a few good weeks in between cuttings so we’ve been able to get the equipment and fields ready. So the CT is at it again.
This week my hay man has been hard at it working more than 15 hour days. But that’s just par for the course. We feel very blessed to have our fields, equipment, and guys going in full swing. God has richly blessed us!! I always tell Cory that he and God work really well together because they make some beautiful hay!!
So for the next few weeks we will be in go time mode. CT will be working really hard and I’ll be keeping the home fires burning (if you will). With the kids home they have to keep really quiet some mornings so that Daddy can get some extra rest and be ready for the late nights.
I of course love going to the fields with the kids and taking pictures. Next I want to share a video of the tractors running in the field. It is amazing at how fast they run! There is nothing like it and there is nothing like the farm life!

Big Buck!
For weeks my husband had been hunting. Weeks…..and nothing!! He is not the type to see a buck and shoot. He is very picky when it comes to the deer he kills. And I am very thankful he is like this……I don’t have lots of deer to hang up all over the place ;)
On this special day Cory got him a really nice buck!!! We were all super excited when we got the text from Cory. The kids and I usually get up and then text him to see if he has seen anything, and this particular morning not only had he seen something but he got a big one too!!! The kids and I got dressed, grabbed breakfast out the door, and rushed to Daddy’s side to see his Big Buck!!
We were all pretty excited! Whit was especially excited….he kept saying “dead buck, dead buck”…hehe! Too cute!!! CJ and VK had been there done that…..so the excitement was there but not like it was for Whit!!! I love sharing this kind of stuff with them. I remember being a kid and going hunting with my Daddy and being all excited too!! Life is good!
