Jasper Marc Cannon is finally HERE!

jasper2

Ok, on July 13, 2010, this sweet bundle of joy entered into our family’s life forever!  My brother, PJ, and his wife Amanda had their first child!  We are all so very excited that this precious baby boy is here and is as beautiful as ever!

So the day after he was born my troops and I traipsed off to Florida to see our Baby Jasper!  And the girls, of course, loved him up.  Whitman enjoyed the elevator and the room’s privacy curtains WAY TOO MUCH to have time for a baby!  Haha!

Jasper has long fingers, a round Cannon face, his Momma’s nose, lots of dark hair, a dimple in his chin (we can’t figure out who it came from), he can spread his toes out so much he’ll be picking things up with them before too long, and he is the most alert newborn I have ever seen.

I was so proud of my SIL!  After 9 months of lots of pain she made it through.  She was faced with lots more issues than us normal prego women and she came out like a pro.  I am very thankful that she is a strong, Christian woman, who takes pride in her job as Jasper’s Momma and my brother’s wife.  She has impressed me with her strength.  I pray for her. For I know the upcoming weeks will be ones of joy, sleeplessness, tears of happiness, tears of change, a time of bonding that you can never replace-a roller coaster ride that will forever change her life for the good.

We are so thankful that Jasper is apart of our family.  Every baby is a gift from our gracious Father above and Mr. Jasper Marc Cannon is no exception.  We love you baby boy!

Ok, so I know I have been VERY slack these past few weeks with blogging.   But I promise its due to busyness and not laziness.  The kids have kept me going, going, going since we’ve come back from vacation!!  Plus there are some other BIG projects that I can’t wait to share…but later!

First of all, my girls went to there first sleepover party!  The week we came back from vacation, my bestie Lora, was hosting a birthday party for her little girl Lilah Grace.  Well of course my girls had to be there for their bestie’s partay!!

I really wasn’t too worried about the girls not having fun, or even wanting to come home.  I knew they were in good hands.

And they had a blast!  They did all the girly things that we as adult women still love to do.  They had sweets, talked, mani’s and pedi’s, and of course a good chic flick!  What girl could resist!?  I even wanted to stay..haha!

Happy Birthday Lilah Grace, we are so thankful God has placed you in our lives!

Cedar Key Vacation

 DSCF4230

Every year we go to Cedar Key for the fourth of July and it always turns into a week long family vacation.  This year, more so than others, we anticipated this vacation.  We have had SO much going on in our little family, business, etc. that for weeks prior Cory and I would dream of the vacation to come.

Cedar Key is not your typical beach vacation.  CK is a fisherman’s village with a few little beaches for the kids to enjoy.  The water isn’t the bluest but it is still gorgeous.  We love the private atmosphere and the peace only CK can give us.  This year we NEEDED this vacation.  And we are so thankful for it!  We had a great time visiting with family and friends, and soaking up the sun!

CK is were my brothers and their friends take the boat out and fish.  My brother Ned Henry likes  loves fishing and he was excited to have the kids there to show what he and his buddy had caught.  Whit wasn’t so sure about the fish.  In fact, he was scared to death of the thing…hehehe.  He was so funny running away from the fish!

We had so much fun chilling on the beach, looking for sea shells, and just taking it easy.  We are so blessed to be able to get away like this.  Next we’ll have pictures from our 4th of July.  We were in CK for that too and saw the best fireworks!

Let me know what you think of this new layout.  One of my blogging buddies showed me this new program and I am super excited over it.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Birthday Bash

I thought the invitations turned out too cute! I was very pleased!

And here they are...Our Tractor Boy and Glamour Girl

At this age, cupcakes were definitely the way to go. Ms. Jessica did a GREAT job on these...not only were they cute but ohhh did they taste good! They were so much easier and just as cute with their polka dot holders and toppers!

The Glamour Girl (all red-faced from jumping on the playhouses ;-)

And our Tractor Boy so excited over his new toy! I LOVE this expression!

We are so blessed to have so many family and friends join us to celebrate our two little ones. They are so special to us and we thank you all for showing us how special they are to you!
