The Beginning of a New Chapter in the Tyre Family: the Before Pictures of our Home

What a surprise it was when Cory and I stepped into our new home for the first time!  I was so impressed with all the details!  The chair rail throughout the house, the wood floors in every room, the beautiful trim around ALL the windows and doors…….it was just beautiful!  Then I went on the front porch…..and there it was…my nice HUGE porch that I have been dreaming about…..SOLD!!!

The house had been vacant for sometime so obviously there were things that needed to be taken care of.  All it needed was some tlc…and we were ready!  After we purchased the home we immediately got started.  So for the last few months we have been consumed with fixing up and moving into our new home.  What a blessing!!

The above pictures are of the living space before.  Since buying our house we have taken up the tile and replaced it with another tile floor.  The walls have all been repainted.  And we put in all new appliances….whew..what a process!  YIKES!

These pictures are of the master bath, the kid’s rooms, and the master bedroom.  All have been repainted (I let the girls pick out their own color and they did a great job!) and the master bath got a new vanity!

There are still a lot of things that we are working on but one thing at a time!  For now we are truly excited to just be living in our home without any major projects going on.  Not to mention enjoying our new home with all it’s Christmas decorations!  I am so excited to share with you all the new changes and the Christmas that adorns our beautiful blessing!

Keep watching….Lord willing I will manage to get us back on track on our blog.  Thanks for your patience.

The Love of My Life

2009_0813October20090109

Happy Anniversary Cory!

With every year, every milestone, every storm, every victory I love you more and more.  I thank God for the man you are and the man you are becoming.  I am so blessed to go down this road of life with you.

I love you Babe….Happy 8 years….!!!

God gave you and me
A precious love
That has grown in time
When things were tough
It was in those times
When love came through
In laughing, in crying
Our love stands true
Our love still grows
And deepens even more
With hope in our hearts
And trust in our Lord

Little Hunters

The first weekend of huntin’ season was a busy one!  Not only did we have to get ready for the big hunt but we stayed our first night in the new house too!

We did manage to get the girls in a stand…the most important thing!  They love to go huntin’ with me and their Daddy!  VK and her Daddy saw lots of deer but no keepers.  As for me and Sissy, well, we didn’t see anything!  But we had lots of fun learning all the new games on my blackberry!

My Birthday Gift

The beginning of October was my birthday….my 30th birthday!  It was an extremely special one for more reasons than one.

Cora Jane and Vera Kate both had made professions of faith for our Lord.  On this day, October 3rd, they both were baptized!

Cora Jane had made her decision and asked God into her heart awhile back but was too scared to get baptized.  She isn’t crazy about water getting on her face and was worried the water would go up her nose.  Our pastor, Brother Donnie, even told her she could wear her mask…hehe!

Vera Kate had made her own profession of faith during this journey with Cora Jane.  We convinced Cora Jane that with some practice (in the bathtub) we could ease her fear of the water.  And that’s exactly how it happened.

The day was filled with lots of friends and family.  We were and are all so proud of the decision the girls have made.  God continues to bless our family with His love, grace, and mercy.  I feel so rich in His gifts…….my children.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  Mark 16:16

Behold, children are a gift of the LORD,The fruit of the womb is a reward.  Psalm 127:3

Oh October!

Ok, I am so sorry for not posting these last weeks but things have been really crazy!  From moving, fixing up the new house, cleaning out the old house, fall festivals, Halloween, the Ag Expo, the girl’s Baptism, and well everyday life.  ~~Whew~~

So these next few posts I’m going to rewind and play back what we’ve been up to this last month.

Fun at Poppell’s Farm with Sissy’s and VK’s classes!

Heaven is Celebrating Today…..Lila Rae’s Heavenly Birthday

lilarae

I've lost my baby daughter,
Though not misplaced.
I feel she's somewhere
Bound by neither time nor space.

Perhaps she sits before the Throne
With radiant face.
She could be dancing happily
Like little girls do
With golden taps beneath
Each precious little shoe.

I know she must love music,
So I'm sure it's true.
I'm grateful that in Heaven
She is healthy and strong
And that she's lulled to sleep each night
By Heaven's song,
But I wish I could hold her;
Is that terribly wrong?

I sang so often to her
While she was with me
And I will go on listening
For her harmony.

How sweet to know
I'll hear it In eternity.

GA Farm Bureau District 10 Annual Meeting

yf2010

Cory and I represent our county as the Young Farmer Chairs, and a few weeks ago were honored as the Outstanding Young Farmer Committee for our district.  We feel very privileged to represent our county and our district at the state level.

So just to catch you up….….when our warehouse burned back in May so did all of our awards we received last year for the Georgia Young Farmer Achievement Award.

Well………while we’re standing there on stage the MC (Mauldin) proceeds to explain this incident to everyone.  Cory and I have no idea what is going on.  Next thing ya know……they are presenting us with our district and State awards from last year………they had replaced them for us!  I couldn’t believe it…..I was in TEARS.  The award is very special to us…..we have worked really hard for our business, and the award’s recognition of that makes it dear to our hearts.  I had mentioned to someone about getting them replaced….months ago…..but forgot.  Its one of those things we wanted to do but never got around to it.  We felt feel so honored and thankful for those who went ABOVE and BEYOND their jobs.

Thanks David, Andy, and all those who had a part in this.  We are so thankful for you and all you do for our family, business, and Farm Bureau.

God is good……ALL the time,
